朴墅是丽水的一支木作团队。做建筑木作，也做家具。

主理人是丽水人，从未离开过这座山城。2013 年起，从一台机器、几把刨子的小作坊起手——家具一两件做起，慢慢做到整宅木作。

一组老师傅，跟到现在——以年计算，不以件计算。这些年里，他也常与欧洲的工匠互通有无——一道工序、一处打磨，反复研讨、来回切磋；读懂一块木头，是这十余年里磨出的那只手。

这些年里，他做过最难的一件事——把一道源自欧洲的鞣酸反应工艺，一路推到家具上。

欧橡富含单宁，遇上以醋酸调出的铁水便起反应——好比手汗沾铁会发青，木里有单宁、水里有铁，相逢之处颜色就从木头里头长出来，往里渗 0.5 至 1 毫米。不是涂的，不是染的；不浮在表面，沉到木质里去。漆面是死光，木的光是活光——远远一瞥，肉眼也分得出来。

这工艺在欧洲已成熟多年；国内只在承接代工订单的地板厂里偶能见到，鲜少有人把它做到家具上。每经一道反应，木头都带回水分，得再让它自己平衡过去。这一路，弯过几年。

PUSUMUZU is a woodwork team based in Lishui — shaping wood for buildings, and for the objects that live inside them.

The principal is a Lishui man — and has not left. The work began in 2013, in a small workshop — one machine, a few planes. Furniture came one piece at a time, then whole rooms.

The same craftsmen have stayed through all of it — counted in years, not in pieces. Through these years there has been a steady exchange with European woodworkers — a step in finishing, a question of grain, traded back and forth; the reading of a board comes from years of asking, and years of doing.

The hardest work of these years has been to carry the tannin-reaction method, long refined inside European flooring mills, into furniture.

European oak is rich in tannin; meet it with vinegar-bound iron water and the two react — the way a sweating hand will turn an iron nail a faint blue. Color rises from within an entire board, half a millimetre to a millimetre deep. Not painted, not stained; never sitting on the surface, settled into the grain. Varnish gives a dead light; wood gives a living one — the eye catches the difference even at a distance.

Mature for years inside flooring; carrying it into furniture was another matter — every reaction brings water back into the wood, and every reaction must be followed by another resting period, so the timber can settle by itself. The path took years.
